We use the tropical zodiac with the Placidus house system — the most widely used standards in Western astrology. The tropical zodiac aligns signs with the seasons (vernal equinox = 0 degrees Aries), while Placidus divides houses based on time-based ecliptic divisions.

Our calculations use Swiss Ephemeris, which delivers sub-arcsecond precision (< 0.001 degree) for planetary positions. This is the same engine used by professional astrologers and observatories worldwide. Every position is computed in real time, not looked up from tables.

Daily horoscopes are regenerated every day at 03:00 UTC with fresh transit data. Weekly readings update each Monday, and monthly readings update on the 1st. All readings reflect real planetary positions at the time of generation.

Most sites use generic, pre-written content rotated on a schedule. OmenMe calculates actual planetary transits and aspects in real time, then generates unique interpretations based on the specific celestial configuration of each day. The astronomical data behind each reading is verifiable.

Birth time determines your rising sign (ascendant) and the positions of all 12 houses in your chart. Without it, we cannot calculate these accurately. The ascendant changes roughly every 2 hours, so even a small difference in time significantly affects your chart.

We will use a noon default to generate your chart. Your planetary sign placements will still be accurate, but house positions and the rising sign may be off. If you find your exact time later, you can recalculate — your chart and all readings update automatically.

A natal chart (birth chart) is a map of the sky at the exact moment and location of your birth. It shows the positions of the Sun, Moon, and all planets in zodiac signs and astrological houses, along with the angular relationships (aspects) between them. It is the foundation of personalized astrology.

We use synastry — the comparison of two natal charts.
